Click pic to view comments Confirmed sighting: McDonald's Chicken Club Flatbread
Posted: 23:15 Mon 08-09-2003. Price: 3.89 regular "meal deal". Location: McDonald's, North London. Nutritional unusualness: less than half the sugar of McChicken Premiere.
Snackspot reports: See if you can spot what they've done here - take the Nan bread (and filling) from the Greek Mac, the bacon from the Bacon Cheeseburger, and the KFC-style fillet from the McChicken Premiere, and you've got this Fast Food Fever-style creation: "a premium chicken fillet in a seasoned coating with sliced tomato, iceberg lettuce, rashers of tasty bacon and a creamy Dijon mustard sauce served in a warm flatbread". Surely it's only a matter of time before they throw caution to the winds with the UK's first combined beef *and* Chicken sandwich?

...Anyway, moving away from the company which has just appointed Ronald McDonald as Chief Happiness Officer, a "friend of a friend" has apparently completed (though not yet published) a book of the many and varied takeaway franchises you can enjoy around the country. I hope it includes what is described by "internetsdairy" as "the greatest" KFC-alike yet - Deptford's very own Bertie Rooster's Fried Chicken, whose logo is "a rooster in a top hat and monocle, holding a cocktail glass".

Comment: Both us seniors love McDonald's. Maybe in the future on the breakfast menu you could come up with hot oats in a plastic container. I am sure lot's of seniors would love that. Don't get too fancy I know some people if they don't pay ten dollars for hambuger it isn't any good you can never change them too bad it is their lost. Keep up the good work. From Oregon

Comment: I will never work out how people get confused and think that this is the official site for all the snack/food products featured. Really.

Comment: Regarding Bertie Rooster's - never mind the logo, what about the strapline? - "The Noblest of Chicken". I've only tried the filletburger so far but it did indeed accept its fate with great dignity 32490 1
