Click pic to view comments Confirmed sighting: T and T Jazz Berry Alternative Fruit Mix Drink
Posted: 16:58 Wed 17-09-2003. Price: 49p. Location: Newsagent, North London. Sub-flavours: Red Hot Orange, Lazy Lemon, Tropicombo. Nutritional unusualness: "Low Gas, No Added Sugar".
Snackspot reports: OK, so I'm mainly posting this as a last-ditch attempt to stop all the When oh when will they launch Pepsi Blue? moaning, because as far as I can remember, this "Jazz Berry" stuff tastes pretty much the same. Didn't really notice it being any noticeably less fizzy than usual, though, which kind of undermines their 2003 (anti-Pop Idol?) Had Enough Of Pop? campaign.

...It's all frothing up elsewhere in the drinks market, however, with the October launch of three flavours of Virgin Sours (in Cheek Chillin' Cherry, Raspin' Blue Raspberry, and Eye Squeezin' Apple flavours, 500ml bottle for 59p). Cadbury is reported to have launched a Choca Mocha version of Instant Hot Chocolate Break, while Carling has escaped censure for its recent range of London Underground poster ads, despite complaints that they mocked overweight people, especially those with red hair.

Comment: Are the Virgin Sours out yet?

I'll but each but I'll probably hate them. Sour drinks don't usually work

Comment: well, they've registered a British trademark for Pepsi blue.

Apparently, it'll be out for Dec.15, just under a month.

Comment: At least 3 flavours of Virgin sours spotted in Sheffield Hillsborough Morrisons at weekend. Shall I get them and review them all?

Comment: well, they're a *bit* old now, but we never did get a picture of them (and the same goes for your "pleasantly hot" Flamin' Hot Wotsits - and do you know how to link to specific entries on

http://hotphil.blogspot.com/2004_03_28_hotphil_archive.html

while you're about it?)

Comment: I don't care much for the T & T new "sugar free" versions. They took out all the quality ingredients and replaced them with rubbish. Also, they don't tell you that it is actually with sweeteners and guess what? The sugar free version is the only version, although they don't label it as a diet drink as such. Is this legal? I was really PO'ed when I tasted it. Way too sweet with a really bad artificial aftertaste. YUCK!
