Click pic to view comments International sighting: Menz White Chocolate FruChocs - plus FREE Mars Delight for Irish readers
Posted: 14:50 Tue 25-11-2003. Price: ??. Location: Adelaide, Australia. Sub-flavours: Fruchocs (Apricot), Cherrichocs, CoffeeChocs. Nutritional unusualness: May contain traces of peanuts, almonds and macadamia nuts.
That's right, a complete Mars Delight for Irish Snackspot readers - full details on that below, but first here's "Adrian" with his followup to his former favourite Menz CoffeeChocs: Wow! A very nice apricot centre covered with thick white chocolate. They look a a bit ugly, but they taste fantastic - quite sweet, but not sickly. The combination of white chocolate and apricot is a WINNER. Amanda didn't really like them, but she then again she tends not to like white chocolate. OK, I have to go and eat the rest of the bag now...

...OK Adrian, off you go. Anyway, back to that free Mars Delight: some guy from Masterfoods (nee Mars) has got in touch to point out that there are still places left for their Republic of Ireland Mars Delight Product Test - apparently you just go to that page, fill in your details, then they send you a voucher for this new, lighter in texture bar and you tell them what you think of it. Sadly this offer is only open to Irish snack-fans at the moment, though UK consumers are "welcome" to join a research panel of their own. (To be honest, I haven't tried either myself yet, so enter at your own risk etc - your mileage may vary.)

Comment: Mars product tests seem to be a bit odd. I signed up for their chocolate-related hot drinks one a while back, and all I ever got was a free galaxy hot chocolate drink which is already on the market, and haven't heard anything since.

Comment: The Kaptain believes your 'free Galaxy hot chocolate drink' may in fact have been full of deadly evil chemicals, priming your body for the day Mars launches it's plans for world domination. You have been warned, the Kaptain advises a diet of rye bread, marzipan and charcoal followed by vigourous shake-a-shakes.

Comment: 'activated charcoal' as opposed to artists' stick form surely?

Comment: While I heed the Kaptain's sound advice, I gave the Galaxy drink to my girlfriend, thus I will be able to give fair and honest feedback to any following Mars world-domination beverage attempts.
