Click pic to view comments International sighting: Wawel Royal
Posted: 13:36 Thu 08-01-2004. Location: Krackow, Poland. Nutritional unusualness: "Product may contain traces of peanuts, other nuts, milk, egg and wheat protein. No gelatine added".
"Tom" reports: Inside the gimmicky pyramid packaging is a new and radical sweet format from Poland. Imagine a jelly baby wrapped in crunchy boiled sweet, wrapped in chocolate. Sometimes the jelly part is missing, so the sweet is crunchy all the way through. Flavours are indistinct, with hints of mint and strawberry. They're so sickly that it's hard to consume the recommended serving size of "4 candies". For more information about Wawel, visit http://www.wawel.com.pl/ .

...Cheers Tom, and well done for not slipping into a "You know what they call a Walnut Whip in Poland? Wawel Royal" tribute to Pulp Fiction. In other international ingenuity: the latest FoodLineWeb newsletter announces the US launch of roasted soya nut snacks Peanotz, and that PJ Smoothies It's Alive will henceforth be known as Probiotic Tummy Love; more controversially, the reactions of reader "Robin Green" were largely unprintable following his discovery that "Not content with changing the name from Marathon to Snickers, Mars/ Masterfoods (US) are now introducing The Snickers Marathon Bar".

Comment: Those came out many, many years ago. I'm not sure they went away, but maybe they had a holiday or something.

Comment: i am so frustrated,i was with my best bud snoopy glebe and we spotted an empty "vice versa" packet on the street. it took us back to our childhood days,we rejoyced as we contemplated the idea that they were back! we raced to the nearest shop but much to our dismay no trace of the yummy shell covered treats were to be found, now our hopes have been dashed and we are left with soul destroying cravings and the question remains-will we ever be reunited with our long longs sugar coated friends???????

Comment: For the love of god, please bring back vice versas!!! I urge all the followers of vice versa out there to flood the nestle office with letters expressing their love of the truly tempting treats that they are. People out there must join me and Tess Ochilview in the quest to finding our "long lost sugar coated friends". Come on people, its only sane!!
