Click pic to view comments Confirmed sighting: Rice Krispies Muddles
Posted: 16:42 Fri 20-02-2004. Location: ASDA, High Wycombe. Sub-flavours: 4 shapes in one box! Little stick person, little fish, little star, little christmas tree. Nutritional unusualness: Made of things other than rice. Prebiotic (Inulin) (6%) - Boosts Friendly Bacteria. .
"Flameproof" reports: These are the new Rice Krispies that Bob spoke of. The multi-grain shapes look more like my cat's food than my own, and have a Golden-Graham-like taste, which I personally am not that fond of. Could do better, I feel...

...Nice work, "Flameproof" - now all we need is proper sightings of Bob's Lemon Fruit Winders and Crunchy Nut Cereal Bar (it's a bit tricky to make out at this scale, but the Muddles box says it contains "Four Tasty Multi-Grain Shapes" and "Helps Keep Kids Healthy From Top-To-Toe". It's also good to see that the members of "Busted" aren't averse to appearing in their old "Snap, Crackle and Pop" roles in case their musical careers don't really work out.) In other bowl-based bonanzas: posh cereal-maker Jordans are launching a range of Luxury Bars, Fruit Bars and Fruit Pockets sometime this month; and Muller are reported to now be in talks with McVitie's regarding a possible tie-up, as their deal to produce Muller Corners featuring Kellogg's Rice Krispies, Coco Pops and Frosties is expected to expire at the end of February.

Comment: If they're multigrain, what are they Rice Krispies branded?

Comment: good point, Dave - perhaps they should be rebranded "Rice" Krispies (or "Rice-flavoured"?)

Comment: Speaking of nutrigrain, b3ta linked this advert in their newsletter this week. If its not the best cereal bar related advertisement of all time, then i dont know what is: http://turnpikefilms.com/spots/nutrigrain.html

Comment: I bought a box of "Crunchy Nut Red" from Safeways last week and it took me ages to find out how Crunchy Nut Red actually differed from normal Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. In very small font on the top flap of the box it explained the dried cranberries or whatever. Why the secret?

BTW - this was the first box of serial I have bought in about 3 years. £3.49! Is it any surprise?

Comment: What do you mean, that RICE KRISPIES MUDLES taste like golden grahams? you are all mad! buy the stuff and you will realise its true potential. its greatness will henceforth shape breakfast eating, the cup of christ of breakfast cerials, boasts multivitamins capable of keeping my kids 'healthy from tip to toe' in an all on obesity campaign. None of these other brands like wheatos will come near me or my children as chocolate is not capable of getting people going in the morning! why are they so high in carbs?
