Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Nestle Kit Kat Kubes Cappuccino Confirmed sighting: Nestle Kit Kat Kubes Cappuccino
Posted: 13:07 Wed 16-06-2004. Location: Sainsburys, Hedge End. Nutritional unusualness: None noted.
York's "professorpurple" revealed "I got these to go the cinema with - there always seems to be one left in the packet. They were very nice and extremely moreish", and "kimbo_frog" saw them for 1.24 in Tesco Brighton "but didnt buy them as I hate coffee!!". So it was down to the hard-won expertise of "choccieman" to deliver this more detailed analysis: Thought I'd post this as it was previously mentioned in the KitKat Kubes Orange thread but no-one involved was a coffee + choc fan. So at the risk of starting another argument I have to say I quite like this combination, in fact I like it quite a lot (had a Lindt Mocha bar in the States that was very good). As for the Kubes, well they're not bad. They smell fantastic when you open the bag. Sadly they seem to be flavoured with the same stuff that's in all "cappuccino" products doing the rounds at the moment (drinks, deserts etc.) so whilst they're good to begin with (albeit a rather artificial flavour) the aftertaste tends to build up in your mouth (not that I'm suggesting you would eat a large quantity of these in one go, but you understand I had to for research purposes). At least it looks like Nestle are trying to get some variety now. What next - Lemon flavour? (Doh!).

...And I bet they're not very nice with tea either. Oh, and I did namecheck "choccieman" and many other of our "special correspondents" when interviewed for the current issue of WebUser magazine (cover line: "Google spills the beans") but that's been cut down to the (arguably more exciting sounding?) "team of snack tsars" when it went to print.

Comment: I'm an enormous fan of choc+coffee. Always my favourite chocs in a selection box.

Mt brother (Ciaran) had these a few weeks ago, but refused to submit a sighting in case a future employer should ever 'google' him, so to speak. So he remains save as his name remains absence from this site.

Comment: Yes, but are they as good as the Cappucino Aeros of yore?

Comment: Definitely a stronger flavour than the aero's. So I guess it depends on your mood. I would prefer the aero subtlety but as they're not around these'll do :-)

Comment: what ever happened with these Cappuccino Kubes?

Comment: Kitkat Kubes flopped but you can still find some if you look hard enough, I've seen the Cappuccino and orange flavours not that long ago. Actually they're selling the boxes of oranges ones very cheap in some places.
