Click pic to view comments - International sighting: Spring Onion and Feta Flavour/ Pink Pringles International sighting: Spring Onion and Feta Flavour/ Pink Pringles
Posted: 20:15 Sun 04-Jul-2004. Price: 0.99. Location: C1000 in the Netherlands. Sub-flavours: "World Tour". Nutritional unusualness: Vegetarian (but not vegan).
"Marc" reports: Hot on the tail of the Purple Pringles, I'm proud to present to you... "Spring Onion and Feta Flavour"-flavoured Pringles, of the - apparently still running - World Tour kind. So what do these taste like? Frankly I think they're just "Onion and Cheese" in a redesigned tube. That also means they taste good. Unlike Walkers/ Lays "Mediterranean" Greek Feta, which taste too strong (unless you like that, of course). Interesting to note is that the tube now contains two checkboxes, with the words "vegetarian" and "vegan". Only the former is checked. Let's see if this trend will be continued on other flavours.

...Another double sighting here from Snackspot's top international Pringles-spotting duo - you can see the Dutch Feta version (and much, much more) on "Marc's" own site, while the pic is of the impressively long shelf-lived Pink Pringles which "Phillerena" recently paid 99p for in Home Bargains, Pontefract, commenting: The madness continues, with this Valentines Day Pink Pringles edition. These don't differ much from Purple Pringles, although they have a much nicer colour. They should have made them strawberry flavour or something, to take away the blandness. Again, they come in little pots, coloured pink, and with a "To" and "From" bit on the foil so you can give these to your Valentine (what a lovely gift!). Home Bargains are currently selling both Pink and Purple Pringles, so who knows what colour they will be selling next...

Comment: In the US back in April they had blue pringles. I think they were just original flavor (sic) though.

Comment: I do have a can of blue (star spangled) pringles. Although they taste like any other ready salted crisp, you really should close your eyes when eating them.

I guess if they would make them green, one might think they've past their shelf life...

Comment: What I don't get is why the coloured Pringles taste of the regular salted Pringles... a bit of flavour would have been nice.

Comment: in the US, guacamole flavoured Doritos are green (and similarly, green coloured Doritos are guacamole flavoured)

of course this left me with the dilemma: what do you dip them in? special yellow crisp-flavoured "potato paste"?

Comment: Guacamole flavoured! Wow, where would I get some of those?

Comment: i found them in a Walgreens or something in Palo Alto, CA, though here's a sighting of them from Lowell, Indiana: http://www.taquitos.net/snacks.php?snack_code=1871

- not sure if anyone is able to import them into the UK without getting them all crunched up in the bag (unless there's a sister Cybercandy company called, I dunno, "Cybercrunchy"?) 97182 3
