Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Nestle Mint Kit Kat Kubes Confirmed sighting: Nestle Mint Kit Kat Kubes
Posted: 17:18 Tue 13-Jul-2004. Price: 1.24 for 175g. Location: Asda, Lower Early Reading. Nutritional unusualness: Contains "real" mint oils.
"Diarmuid Mallon" reports: Another addition to the Kube family. Nestle are really going to town with the number of different flavours in this range. The mint taste is very good, being strong enough to be distinct, but not too over-powering. The bags have instructions on "shaking" to break up the contents into separate "Kubes", which looks like Nestle conceding that the manufacturing process is slightly flawed - as pointed out before.

...In other chocolate biscuit-y bulletins: NiceCupOfTeaEtc have recently deemed Lidl's Choco Softies to be a "faithful copy" of Germany's Super Dickmann marshmallows; I've been munching through the innovatively chocolate-packed Feaster and Dipps additions to Quaker's Cereal Bars - both worthy rivals, I suspect, to Cadbury's Brunch; but the honour of possibly the most synthetic-tasting thing I've ever eaten goes to Nestle's Sveltesse Red Berry Cereal and Chocolate Bar, whose ingredients contain "Under 100kcal per bar" (that many?) along with "Red berry flavoured fruity pieces (11.5%)... strawberry juice, raspberry juice, banana", which a friend of mine pointed out somehow gave the bars an unmistakable flavour of roses - the flower, that is, not the sweets.

Comment: Dickmans are quite yummy, when I was in Germany I remember having some as movie watching snacks. The white chocolate ones were particularly good.

Comment: IMPORTANT NEWS EVERYONE

This is irrelevent but I have to share it. The other day I ate a pound of cherries and a bar of Lindt 70% cocoa chocolate - and it turned my poo purple! I had to wait about 24 hrs for the effect, but in the meantime I had an interesting bi-colour effect, as if it was actually sitting like bands of sediment in my colon. I would have taken a picture, but luckily I don't own a digital camera.

Comment: Nebbish - this is important information. I have approx. three quarters of a bar of said 70% Lindt in the fridge and access to cherries. I will attempt to replicate the described effect and record it in detail with my spanking new camera.
