Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Cadbury Flake Moments Confirmed sighting: Cadbury Flake Moments
Posted: 16:20 Sat 11-Sep-2004. Price: 3.99. Location: Martins, Southampton. Nutritional unusualness: None noted.
"choccieman" reports: Cadbury goes all upmarket with this little number (and I noticed the Luxury Roses in Tesco's the other day too). The Flake brand becomes less flakey as only one variety in the box will fall to bits when you bite it (that is if you don't scoff each little chocolate in one go). The box is particularly noteworthy, very pretty although not the simplest thing to close (perhaps a cunning Cadbury ploy to make you eat them all in one go?). On the back is the history of the Flake, all down to one greedy/ starved worker apparently. One hopes we won't have more of the silly "happiness" adverts pushing these, perhaps an "ambassador's reception" would be more fitting?

..."choccieman" addresses the desperate pleas of the Moments-starved public here - it might also be worth checking branches of Woolworths for them, or just keeping an eye out for that appealing "yellow patch" on shop shelves. In other chocolate cheer: Independent Retail News has the story that Walls Carte D'Or are producing two new luxury ice-creams flavoured with Toblerone and Terry's Chocolate Orange (both 2.99), while The Grocer announces that Woolworths will be trialling a UK version of the USA's Guylian Low Carb bar from October until the end of the year.

Comment: After searching for about 4 weeks, finally found Flake Moments in Woolworths,Llanelli and Somerfield,Gorseinon,Swansea. They were not worth the wait.Very boring and over priced. They are only worth about£1.50.buy some ordinary flakes and make your own.I think Cadbury deliberately advertised these before supplying the shops.I am now waiting for Kit Kat xmas pudding flavour. Can't wait....

Comment: Cadbury Flake Moments, possibly the best mainstream box of chocolates ever created, you can't fault these other than the price

Comment: Other than the fact that they are rather unimaginative and all taste pretty much the same, you mean?
