Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Nestle Aero Caramel Confirmed sighting: Nestle Aero Caramel
Posted: 19:32 Mon 04-Oct-2004. Price: About 35p. Location: Dillons, Theale High Street. Nutritional unusualness: "23% layer of caramel", Butter (the real stuff).
"Luncheon Voucher" reports: A terrible picture of an OK bar. Smaller than you might imagine; think Cadbury Flake form-factor but moulded on top like a narrow Fry's Creme bar. The caramel sits on top of a pretty small amount of the bubbly stuff and is unexpectedly liquid. Might need a while in the fridge if you prefer your caramel like a finger of fudge... Overall a bit sickly but small enough to get through and still be enjoyable.

...Yes, "Nick Tanner" did originally mention this in passing in his previous Blood Orange KitKat sighting, but he wasn't able to grab one before they all sold out (and the only online documentation I could find turned out to be Canadian). Anyway, autumn brings a bonanza of chocolate (and biscuity) new arrivals, with The Grocer reporting launches of "rice crispies and biscuit pieces covered in milk chocolate" Fox's Rocky Rubbles, a new flavour "orange milk chocolate with crushed cornflake pieces" Terry's Chocolate Orange Segsation (plus similarly themed One By One Varieties Toblerone) - while what could be healthier than Weetabix's Weetos Honey Bar with Real Milk Chocolate (pack of 6 for 1.29)?

Comment: Had one today, a bit too chocolate-y and not enough caramel for me. Not an experience I'll be rushing to repeat.

Comment: First bite was all chocolate. The Aero element almost undetectable because of the small physical size. Caramel disappointing and nondescript. An unaccustomed size/shape for an Aero. Didn't work for me.
