International sighting: Nestle Kit Kat Cappuccino/ Kit Kat Apple
Posted: 11:09 Thu 03-Mar-2005. Price: $1.10 AU/ $2 USD. Location: Civic Video, North Ryde, Sydney/ Nagano, Japan. Nutritional unusualness: Not a trace of coffee/ 12g fat (Apple one).
"Mark" reports: The Kit Kat Brainstorming Team are at it again! Seems like a week doesn't pass without a new Kit Kat variety hitting the shelves. Sorry, but up against the regular, dark, orange and mint Kit Kat versions this one just doesn't cut it. Maybe I have my espresso too strong, but I could barely taste any coffee flavour in the milk chocolate coating. Stick to the dark Kit Kat if available, is my recommendation.
...Like so many of us, "Mark" here begins to show signs of what experts are calling "Kit Kat fatigue" regarding this full-size version of Cappuccino Kit Kat Kubes. (And, as I pointed out at the time, the problem with many coffee - and tea - flavoured biscuits is finding a drink to go with them, as presumably having a "Cappuccino" flavoured Kit Kat with a - genuinely flavoured - actual cappuccino will just highlight how artificial the Kit Kat coffee flavour is. And having one with tea would just be... wrong.) Anyway, as if in answer to continued speculation over Japan's fruity varietals, "Mike Pugliese" hopefully concludes this batch of Nestle sightings with a pic of the mythical Apple Kit Kat, exclaiming: I also found this in Nagano, Japan while on my trip, and couldn't believe it. I only found 1 left, so I was lucky. But it was really unbelievably good! The sweet apple and chocolate surprisingly mixed well. I wish I knew where to find more!

Comment: oops, forgot about those - maybe they've gone annual now? :)
we kind of did retro ones we'd like to see revived, but "ones we secretly hate" might have some potential...
