Click pic to view comments - International sighting: Arnott's Tim Tam "Dangerous Liaisons" Chilli Choc Fling International sighting: Arnott's Tim Tam "Dangerous Liaisons" Chilli Choc Fling
Posted: 18:42 Thu 10-Mar-2005. Price: $2.55 for 9 biscuits. Location: Franklins, Sydney. Sub-flavours: Choc Truffle, Black Forest. Nutritional unusualness: Contains chilli extract.
"Mark" reports: Holy mother of God! OK, 5 minutes have elapsed since I chewed and swallowed the last of the test Tim Tam, and I must say there is a pronounced warming sensation in the pit of my (admittedly empty) stomach. The biscuit is indistinguishable from the normal dark chocolate Tim Tam variant in looks, and indeed, in initial taste. After a few seconds though, there is a definite warming on the tongue. Is it any good you ask? Well, they've got the chilli strength about right - any more and it would be unpleasant, any less and you might put the flavour down to it being a dodgy biscuit. However, I'd prefer a vindaloo or a laksa anyday. This is probably one to shock your unsuspecting Mum with when she drops round for a cuppa.

...And in other international ingenuity, "I just had one of these, pretty weird" wrote "Mr Simon" of the USA's amazing grape-flavoured "grapple" apple, while "David Gregory" added: I thought you'd like to know about Kraft foods' Road Kill range. Each squashed "animal" comes complete with tyre marks! Click on the link for the whole terrible story. And pretend I finished with a really funny comment like "Stuart" always does!

Comment: Cybercandy's Australian section has some suggestions: http://www.cybercandy.co.uk/ [URL display truncated]

- I found the Violet Crumble (now available in the UK of course) to be one of the more interesting, though we also had a post here about a "dark Flake" as well...
