Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Toblerone One By One 5 Varieties Confirmed sighting: Toblerone One By One 5 Varieties
Posted: 22:20 Fri 25-Mar-2005. Price: 2.85. Location: Sainsbury's, Hove. Nutritional unusualness: None noted.
"CotB" reports: I actually found some of these before Christmas in Woolworths but my other half ate them before I could report it. He's already opened this packet, too. OK, so they're individually wrapped segments that come in, well, 5 varieties. Nothing new on the plain, milk and white chocolate front, although I've always found the white version overly sweet. The praline one was new to me and quite delicious. The "gimmick" is that the fifth one, get this, is milk chocolate on the bottom and white on top, making it look like, oh, I don't know, a Swiss Alp, maybe?

...First-time spotter (but occasional commenter) "CotB" wraps up this long-awaited sighting; regular readers will of course recognise the "milk chocolate on the bottom and white on top" one as the return of last summer's Toblerone Snowtop Limited Edition. And in other choccy causes for celebration: here's hoping that your Easter includes eggs as exotic as the double-shelled Cadbury Easter Egg Delight, though you'll have to wait till the end of the year to try Nestle's "Project Jewels", After Eights Irish Cream, and After Eight Straws (though maybe they actually mean that Irish Cream Matchmakers will be replacing the blackcurrant version of those?)

Comment: I like the idea of Irish Cream After Eights rather than Matchmakers.

Comment: yeah but would Irish Cream After Eights be minty as well? I guess Orange After Eights aren't, but no-one's ever seen Blackcurrant After Eights - have they?

Comment: I would hope they wouldn't be minty. It disturbs me that they may make Irish Cream Matchmakers because I can't imagine Irish Cream translating into nobbly boiled sugar/choc sticks
