Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Twinings and After Dinner Mint tea/ Costa Chocolissimo Latte Confirmed sighting: Twinings and After Dinner Mint tea/ Costa Chocolissimo Latte
Posted: 18:42 Thu 26-May-2005. Price: £1.49. Location: Somerfield, Lanark, Scotland. Sub-flavours: Twinings and rose petals. Nutritional unusualness: contains 20% peppermint and 20% cocoa beans as well as tea.
"Zeddy" reports: After Eight in a cup of tea! Not bad actually, you can taste mostly mint but the choc is there too. Twinings say an "ideal alternative to coffee after a meal".

...I bet they do, "Zeddy" - and probably in a posh Stephen Fry accent as well. This appears to be in addition to the range of six Twinings iced teas currently launching in "wide-mouth" plastic bottles (in Green Tea with Lemon, Green Tea with Peach, Raspberry, Cherry, Peach, or Lemon, 89p for 400ml), taking on Coca-Cola/ Nestle's Nestea Iced Tea (launching here in Lemon or Red Fruits, 85p/ 500ml) - while, in other minty mayhem, Wrigley are replacing Extra Winterfresh flavour with Extra Ice, and Terry's are threatening to unleash a Chocolate Mint non-Orange for Christmas 2005. And finally, "orangey" was correct in guessing that Costa's Chocolissimo Latte (from £2.49) has "been around for a while", but nonetheless praised its liquid chocolate with milk and chocolate stirrer composition, enthusing: They are really yummy and the chocolate stirrer is the business. One word of caution - should not be bought to take away, you need to sit down with this one!

Comment: Off topic here but has anyone else seen the new Cadbury under 100 cals bars? They're as thin as Milkybars, and I'm sure it said on the Bournville one that it now contains about 70% cocoa solids.

Comment: ooh, these might be the mysterious 'low carb' (by virtue of their size) bars phillerena. where did you see them?

Comment: I was horrified to be told, on Sunday (3rd July 2005), that they are discontinuing the chocolissmo latte in Costa...I had deviated from my usual plans specifically to have one only to be told I could not. Sorry to be the bearer of this bad news.

Comment: I, too, was told a couple of weeks ago about Costa discontinuing the Chocolissimo - shock, horror! Does anyone know if the liquid chocolate, like what they used, is available to buy? 43652 6 22
