Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Fanta Grapefruit Confirmed sighting: Fanta Grapefruit
Posted: 22:15 Tue 04-Oct-2005. Price: 1.32/ 2-litre bottle. Location: Asda, Blackburn. Nutritional unusualness: Grapefruit juice from concentrate (3%).
"Barnsey" reports: First time submitting a sighting here. I have been waiting for this for so long!!!! Fanta Grapefruit is finally in the UK!!!! Just two months ago I cleared a Amsterdam Supermarket of the Dutch version - "Pomelo". Sadly the UK version seems to be a limited edition. Fab and fruity - really very nice. Pic has the UK version on the left - the Dutch on the right.

...This may be the Coca-Cola company's rapid response to Pepsi's increased UK rollout of Jamaican grapefruit-flavoured Ting - either way, congratulations to "Barnsey" for getting his sighting in before "E.W.", who also paid 1.32 in Asda, Sutton-In-Ashfield, Notts, adding: Another addition to the long list of Fanta's drinks, this time it's limited edtion (the last ones, if I remember correctly, were the glow-in-dark variants they did which will probably come back for Halloween.) This drink is very refreshing, it has a nice and fruity soft drink taste and, for people who are put off by the sharp zingy taste of natural grapefruit juice, its sharpness is mild. Not a classic, mainly due to the fact that its like drinking Lilt without the pineapple, but would still make a nice addition to all the other Fanta flavours if they decide to keep it.

Comment: ASDA in Sutton-in-Ashfield rocks, you can never find what you go in for, but are always guaranteed to find little oddities like this

Comment: So, which places have it readily available? Because I have been looking for it in shops at home (Isle of Wight) and Southampton (including Woolworths and Asda) and haven't found it anywhere, but want to try it.
