Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Nestle Hot Stuff Hot Rum Flavour Yorkie Confirmed sighting: Nestle Hot Stuff Hot Rum Flavour Yorkie
Posted: 23:32 Tue 11-Oct-2005. Price: 99p. Location: Tesco, Livingston, Scotland; Tesco, Wigan; Sainsbury's, Southampton. Nutritional unusualness: 135 calories and 7.9g fat per chunk.
"The Wallace Sisters" were first to spot this unexpected arrival, reporting: Not for the faint-hearted, these hefty 300g bars are exceedingly rum-my! Warning: Do not consume excessive amounts before driving. Definitely NOT for girls.

...But "Mike Gray" wasn't far behind, apologising: Sorry, didn't buy one as I suspect it will be foul, but spotted these in the Christmas chocolate section in the local Tesco... and leaving it to "choccieman" to provide the best photo and description, as follows: Stumbled across this in the September Christmas aisle amongst the other gifts in the usual "presents for blokes" section. Allegedly hot rum flavour, well sadly it doesn't contain real rum or any obvious ingredients to make it hot (just the anonymous "flavourings"). There's a very faint rum taste, the hotness is completely separate and comes along if you don't eat it quickly. Defintely not for me, although the wife thought it was OK but described the aftertaste as "paint-like" (and moaned that the chunks were too big).

Comment: I tried one yesterday, blergh, weird horrible taste. For a start, rum and Yorkie dont go well together. As choccieman said, the tastes are seperate, you can taste the sweet Yorkie on one hand and on the other, the weird chemically rum taste. And yes the chunks are too big...try putting it in the fridge and you will be sure to break a tooth trying to bite into it.

Comment: Interestingly, these bars are £1.99 each in Woolies, but on offer at 2 for £2. There are big 'SAVE £1.98' banners across the display to further convince any potential purchasers who are debating spending that extra 1p to get a second bar.

Comment: Yorkie gives me a sore throat - perhaps the rum would numb it..?

Comment: On receiving this Yorkie, I was ashamed to have to admit that it was, infact, bigger than my penis.
