Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Nestle Rolo Caramel and Cream Confirmed sighting: Nestle Rolo Caramel and Cream
Posted: 22:40 Wed 30-Nov-2005. Price: 4 for 1 offer, usually about 38p. Location: Woolworths, nearly everywhere. Nutritional unusualness: Whey powder, glucose-fructose syrup, double cream (1%), salt.
Snackspot reports: Confirmation at last of this slightly understated evolution of the Irish Cream variety, previously described as "basically just normal Rolos with white chocolate instead of milk", or "totally amazing [...] your tastebuds will be thanking you for weeks", and widely available in a 4-for-1 offer along with Aero Caramel and the apparently back-from-the-grave Kit Kat Chunky White.

...I noticed that Woolies also had the aforementioned Yorkie Roulette (with what looked like a 50-50 ratio of chilli to "normal" Yorkie options, though the wrappers of each mini-bar are clearly marked to avoid "Yuck, this Yorkie tastes disgusting" scenarios), while - in other recent Nestle-related neglect - I've also spotted the Yorkie Giant Cookie counterparts to Nestle Rolo Cookies (Asda Park Royal, 96p for 3), the Rolo Mini Muffins equivalent of Milky Bar Mini Muffin Treats (Sainsbury's, 99p for 12), and that this year's seasonal dessert from McDonald's is the "Minty Christmas!" Nestle After Eight McFlurry.

Comment: You forgot to mention Milkybar cookies. I had some from Morrisons and they were lovely. The Rolo version werent as nice.

Comment: the yorkie roulette sounds rubbish (also, don't (mars) revels have copyright on the chocolate roulette concept?). they should make a few unlabelled pieces with industrial grade popping candy that could potentially decapitate you. i'd like to see derren brown resolve that one live on tv... ;)

Comment: I made a milkshake out of a white kitkat chunky and some white Rolos the other day. Tasted weird due to the wafer but was still yummy.

Comment: i tried a fry's chocolate orange milkshake from shakeaway in brighton ( http://www.shakeaway.com/brighton.html ) once and found it a bit disappointing. i think it needed ice to thicken it up...

well done on the independent article snackspot, it's very good!

Comment: Well, I believe the phrase "huge pile of patronising snide bollocks" about covers it.

Comment: never mind the irish cream... what about nestle removing the kit kat foil years ago... my sniffing has never been the same since...

Comment: I've just noticed that these delicious Rolos are cunningly packaged in slightly smaller tubes than standard Rolos. You only get 52g for your money as opposed to 57g in a normal tube. I'm guessing that's one less Rolo per pack.

Comment: I do think that less rolos are in each packet nowadays because apparently they are running low on customers!
