Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: McVitie's Milk Chocolate Mint Digestives Confirmed sighting: McVitie's Milk Chocolate Mint Digestives
Posted: 23:36 Thu 01-Dec-2005. Price: 1.05. Location: Tesco, Edinburgh. Nutritional unusualness: Contains vanilla flavouring, but not mint flavouring.
"Taras Young" reports: McVitie's weigh in with this tasty variant on a classic - although the "mint" flavouring is a bit hard to place; it's a lot subtler than Cadbury's mint range. The chocolate part feels colder and clammier than normal. Might be a bit too rich for the general public I reckon.

..."Taras" returns with a product I can't believe we didn't mention when it originally came out (just after the Milk Chocolate and Orange, as I recall), though "Zack Valentine" has subsequently suggested "getting White, Milk, Mint and orange [digestives], making a Mega sandwich with each flavour, dunk them in a nice hot bru and Munch, you know it makes sense". Meanwhile, in other digestive deliberations: "harold" seemed 100% convinced by (the presumably chocolate-free) 25% Less Fat Hob Nobs (commenting "Taste just as good as standard Hobnobs but don't give you that guilty conscience!"), and I was pleasantly surprised by the "Cheesecake" variety (featuring "crunchy mini digestive biscuits, reduced fat cheesecake flavour Philadelphia and raspberry coulis") of Philadelphia Splendips (about 99p/ 83g, the Camden Morrison's formerly known as Safeway), not least because - compared to the other flavours - the biscuits were small enough to fit into the dipping compartments properly.
