Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Wild West Hula Hoops Confirmed sighting: Wild West Hula Hoops
Posted: 20:26 Wed 08-Feb-2006. Price: 99p for 7 bag multipack. Location: Sainsbury's, Plymouth. Sub-flavours: Sheriff's Saucy Ribs, Cowboy's Classic BBQ Beans. Nutritional unusualness: 50% less saturated fat than 2005 Hula Hoops.
"Magnetic Ham Sandwich" reports: Yee-Har Pardner! Get off your "hoss" and "drink your milk", as John Wayne once said. Hula Hoops have gone to the rootin-tootin' Wild West to find two new limited edtion flavours for 2006. You get Sheriff's Saucy Ribs flavour, which do have a pleasing saucy taste to them, and also Cowboy's Classic BBQ Beans flavour, which were a bit of a let-down being all BBQ and not much Beans. Also the Hoops are now much better for you than previously, being mainly cooked in sunflower oil instead of vegetable oil.

..."Magnetic Ham Sandwich" moseys into action once again, muttering that there's also been talk round these parts of a new team-up from the notorious Kettle Chips gang - known only as "Double Gloucester and Red Onion". And, continuing the transatlantic theme, I really don't know what to make of 3 - apparently separate - sightings of Ike And Sam's Kettlecorn (available in New York for $2.99, in Original Sweet n' Salty, Crunchy Caramel, or Cocoa Corn), described as "Everything was Delicious. I think I'm addicted to this stuff - a MUST try! I just can't wait until I can order it online" -"Garrett"; "By far the best kettle corn I have ever tasted... I ate the whole bag and I am not much of a snacker! It's not too sweet or too salty, it's just right! I also like that it's not heavy or greasy so it's the perfect thing to munch on" - "Rachel Baldus"; and "This was on the Yummy Yum Yum!!!! Mmm Mmm Good!!!" - "John Everyman".

Comment: Is it just me, or does it seem that the more unlikely the name of the spotter, the more likely they are to be real?

Comment: Continuing the Wild West theme in crisps at the moment, there is a new McCoys 6 pack just rolled into town right now. You get 2 bags each of Mexican Chilli flavour [which has been around for a while already], but is now joined by two brand new flavours - Spicy Buffalo Wings flavour [which has a nice smoky aroma when you open the packet], and Texan BBQ Ribs flavour [which has that realistic spare rib sauce taste]. Right now the multipacks are 2 for £2 at Morrisons, but an even better buy-one-get-one-free at branches of Spar.
