Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Nestle Aero Chocolate Truffle Confirmed sighting: Nestle Aero Chocolate Truffle
Posted: 12:26 Mon 20-Feb-2006. Price: 45p. Location: Newsagents nr Goodge Street, London; Morrisons, Leeds. Nutritional unusualness: Packaging now randomnly announces "231 calories per bar".
"pascal" reports: Very tasty and quite creamy. One of my favourite Aeros ever!!

...First-time spotter "pascal" gets in first, but it's thanks to "Phillerena" for the picture, who fumes: Was very disappointed with this. I saw them in a special stand along with the caramel Aeros and rushed over to buy one, but when I got home and tried it, I found that it just tastes of bland chocolate nothingness. There is little taste difference between this and a regular Aero. The "truffle" is very boring and doesn't taste creamy like truffles should. Complete waste of money. And I'm not too sure what "leanmeanbean" is on about, after obtaining "Aero Orange Delight" for 1.06p, in Jacksons, Saint Peter's Avenue, Cleethorpes, to rejoice: Aero Orange has returned from the grave. Once a childhood favourite of mine, I'd always hope it would return. Imagine my suprise whilst trying to find the new Aero Truffle when I found this. As far as I'm aware it only comes in a huge 150g bar. Perfect for sharing with! On opening the wrapper a pungent orange smell filled the air. However once bitten into the orange flavour is surprisingly mild. More orange please and it'd be perfect! Sorry for no pic I don't have a camera.

Comment: Glad to see the return of Orange Aero. I wonder if it will replace Irish Cream which as far as I'm aware isn't selling very well?

Comment: yeah, sorry "leanmeanbean", I hadn't even realised that Orange Aero had been away!

Comment: Yes, Orange Aero has replaced the Irish Cream. Leaving Milk, Orange, Peppermint, and Sticky Toffee as the four flavours in the 150g range.

Comment: Oh, and Aero Truffle is probably the nicest Aero. I've gone off them hugely in the last few years though - Nestle can't make milk chocolate to save their life.

Comment: I thought so! And all I'm going on is the fact that there are always more Irish Cream Aeros left in the Aero section of supermarkets than Sticky Toffee.

Comment: well orange and sticky toffee must be the best two options then (i never tried irish cream because people on here said it was disappointing). and i can't stand nestle chocolate either, but there's something about an aero that makes it almost tolerable.

Comment: Probably the fact that you're eating air, which in Nestles case is perferable to their chocolate.

Comment: I was on study leave a month or so ago, and whilst waiting for the bus into school to do an exam i decided to go into the shop opposite and get a chocolate bar. I couldn't find my usual aero mint bubbles (the only thing by aero that actually tastes nice, it seems) but saw this very sophisticated look aero truffle and felt the need to buy it. So, i got back to the bus stopp and started tucking in but it was horrible - i ended up chucking half in the bin. The 'truffle' was this bland chocolate shlop, and wasn't sweet, but made my teeth hurt. Nestle should really learn how to make good chocolate. 66103 8

Comment: I love going into shops and buying aeros to eat with my mates after school, I must say that the mint flavour i find is the best, but i was looking for the orange flavour. As usual i couldn't find it. It seems to have gone down the drain a bit, because i cant find it anywhere in any shop. where has it got to? if you have stopped making it, then please please bring it back into your company. it was my favourite. and the rest of your chocolate is nice too, may i just add.

thankyou xx
