Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Coca-Cola Oasis Fusion Confirmed sighting: Coca-Cola Oasis Fusion
Posted: 19:44 Thu 16-Mar-2006. Price: 89p/ 375ml. Location: Woolworths, South East London. Sub-flavours: Berry and Elderflower; Passionfruit and Vanilla. Nutritional unusualness: 11.5 calories per bottle [Can that be right? - Snackspot].
"Daz" reports: I heard about this coming out but didn't expect it until later in the year. Compared to standard Oasis the bottles are smaller (375ml rather than 500ml) and although this has "No Added Sugar" in big letters on the bottle it is still rather sweet. Not bad though and highly drinkable. More "Berry" than "Elderflower", an ideal chilled summer drink. My only grumble is that they should have made it available in 500ml bottles although the Passionfruit and Vanilla variant is very sweet and after half a bottle I'd had enough.

..."Daz" inadvertently highlights the complete meaninglessness of most "No Added Sugar" claims here - while those seeking a more "masculine" beverage can always look forward to the imminent launch of AG Barr's energy drink Irn Bru 32. And without wanting to get too "Flowers For Algernon" or anything, if these posts have become more intelligent over the past few weeks, that's possibly not due to the Sparky Brand Fruit Juice with Omega 3 I've been knocking back (2.29/ litre, in Orange or Pomegranate and Apple, Sainsbury), which a) thankfully doesn't actually taste of "refined fish oil", and b) claims to deliver 20% (36mg) of your recommended daily allowance of Omega 3 ("shown in some research to improve memory, mood, concentration and behaviour"). But "Take care not to exceed the RDA", warns the carton - because nobody likes a smartass, do they?

Comment: Perhaps the calories come from the fruit sugar - fruit isn't calorie free afterall.

Comment: Irn-Bru 32 is already out. It tastes like Irn-Bru with a hefty shot of grapefruit, and leaves a really weird-feeling residue on your tongue.

Comment: Hmm, I'm not sure why I commented. I like normal Oasis though!

Comment: IRN BRU THE GREAT FUCKING DRINK IN THE FUCKING WORLD! YEAH!

IRN-BRU 32 tastes a little sweeter, less flatter then the original and contaisn 32mg of caffine I think.

Comment: Irn Bru 32 is definately available as my parents brought me a few cans from somewhere in Glasgow, but I don't think that's really a valid sighting. It's not very nice though, the Red Bull flavour overpowers the Irn Bru flavour somewhat.

Comment: You have to try Irn-bru 32, its stronger in flavour than irn bru and has a good kick!

Comment: I've spotted cans of Irn Bru 32 in ASDA, Manchester! It's odd tasting - kind of a bitter aftertaste after the standard Irn Bru flavour.

Comment: Passionfruit and Vanilla Fusion tastes exactly like diluting orange which has been watered down as far as it can. 83494 8
