Posted: 19:26 Wed 29-Mar-2006. Price: 99p-1.29/ 200ml. Location: Victoria Street, London; Londis near Regent's Park. Sub-flavours: Milk Chocolate, Plain Chocolate. Nutritional unusualness: 10% Belgian chocolate, 5% chocolate; 100+ kcal, 12.9g-14g carbohydrate per 100ml.
"Zappomatic" reports: Ready made, microwaveable hot chocolate being given out from a cart designed to look like some exclusive chocolate stall. In reality made by Mars. Only tried the milk one so far and it was rather nice, however I may have overheated it as the lid popped off in the microwave causing a bit of a mess. This cart was there on Friday too... hoping it'll come back! Being outside my office it was rather handy. Would submit a pic but can't find the lead to connect my camera up to the computer!

...First-time spotter "Zappomatic" falls at the final hurdle here, but fortunately I was able to find my own camera, a lead, and the product itself, all in different London locations (verdict: Both flavours seemed ridiculously sweet, difficult to microwave without it going everywhere, and not particularly chocolatey either). While, in other unillustrated claims, "Jack Spratt" says he saw Sherbet Fountain - Licorice Sherbet Edition for 0.55 in Covent Garden, gasping: Unbelievable - there was just one left when I spotted these amongst the other Dib Dabs etc, and the guy in front of me in the queue bought and paid for it. I'd just love to see how those flavours go together. The "licorice" is apparently sherbet flavour (and coloured white), and vice versa.

Comment: Mmm sound good - where on Victoria Street are they giving these things away? I keep missing the Victoria freebies!

Comment: I have tried both, they were handing them out for free at Marylebone station a few weeks ago! The milk variant was sickly sweet and was tipped down the sink. The dark version was absolutely superb and I am scared that it will appear in my local supermarket soon - not good for the waistline. No issues with Microwaving (850w oven)

Comment: does anyone know what happened to those nescafe self hating coffee thingies?

Comment: They disappeared shortly after their launch in 2001, almost certainly due to inconsistency in how hot the coffee actally got (there's a bit more about them here: http://www.ntk.net/index.cgi?b=02001-11-02&l=267#l )

that said, I did find one of these a while back http://www.snackspot.org.uk/thread.php?story=0404302326daa - but have never dared try it!
