Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Bassett's Party Babies Confirmed sighting: Bassett's Party Babies
Posted: 14:23 Wed 19-Jul-2006. Price: 1.09/ 150g bag. Location: Morrisons, Byker (Newcastle upon Tyne). Nutritional unusualness: 315kcal, 4.6g Protein, 73.5g Carbohydrate, 0.2g Fat, 0.05g Sodium per 100g.
"REDDEV1L" reports: Bugged the grocery manager to put them on sale (bought them as soon as they were). Quite nice taste considering "Natural Flavours", and they're nice and soft (two flavours, Strawberry and Vanilla, and Banana and Vanilla look more like foam than jelly). Currently B.O.G.O.F.

...It's a party in your mouth and these babies are invited, reckons "REDDEV1L" - though the ones I bought this week were alarmingly deformed by the hot weather, and it's good to see that the natural ingredients also include "bovine and porcine" (ie cow *and* pig) gelatine. In other fruity chews: "Irn Bru bars were pulled off the market and they've been replaced... BY THESE?!!?! It makes me weep", moaned "Matthew" re: the Wham Brew flavour he paid 10p for in Cheadle Hulme, Manchester, eventually admitting "They're still awesome, though" - and I've actually taken most of the capitals out of "Kelly Crockford's" (otherwise accurate) comments on Mike and Ike chewy candies, as follows: Just Came Back From California And While I Was There Found These Truly Awesome Chewy Fruit Sweets. They Are A Bit Like Skittles But Much Much Fruitier And Chewy Not Hard. Couldn't Find Them In My Local Store Back Home So Been Intouch With Their Website And Guess What? They Are Being Launched Here In August. Join Me In Queue To Buy Them As Soon As They Show Up.

Comment: Party Babies are rank, how can people eat these knowing that they contain boiled big and cow bones?

Comment: they've jacked the frigging price! It's an excuse to jack the price. God, i hate that. 180g for £1.25. Currently on liquorice allsorts and the like it's 225g for £1.25. So a 5th less for the same price. Watch all the products follow.

Comment: Bassett's Party Babies and Fruit Allsorts reduced to clear at 50p a pack in Iceland at Elephant & Castle. Nowhere near the best before date either. 62232 6
