Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Mars Thick Shake Confirmed sighting: Mars Thick Shake
Posted: 11:41 Thu 07-Sep-2006. Price: 89p. Location: Nisa shop, Peterborough. Nutritional unusualness: 13.7g carbohydrate per 100g, of which 11.2g sugars.
"DarrenO" reports: Not like a thicker version of the normal Mars shake, much more chocolatey, pretty much the same as a Frijj chocolate shake.

...A short and succinct first-time sighting from "DarrenO" here of the latest attempt by Mars Drinks to take back some of the initiative from those ShakeAway shops you see in places like Brighton and Croydon. In other milky miasmas, the preposterous nutritional info is the only thing I really remember about the SuperBerry flavour of those oddly-enthusiastically promoted For Goodness Shakes!, while it's taken "Phillerena" less than 2 years to track down the Mars Almond that "Keir Hardie" was looking for (43p, Maynews, Leeds, "Contains demineralised whey powder"), dissenting: Was surprised to find this whilst buying a Caramac. I think it's because Maynews sometimes sell chocolate bars of foreign origin, they stocked Mango Bounty for a while too. Anyway this really just tastes like an Almond Snickers - nougat with almonds in, topped with caramel and of course coated in milk chocolate. I can't say I enjoyed it too much as it was rather sickly. It's hard to make out the country of origin as there are various languages on the back, but I think it's from France.

Comment: The Almond Snickers that turned up around these parts (Cool Trader, to be exact) were of Australian origin.

If I had known that, I would not have bought them at all.

Australian chocolate is nasty.

Comment: Yeah they are. You can get them at most Home Bargains now. They were 19p each last time I checked.

Comment: I'd just to add my comment on this drink

I brought one of these the other week after thinking it was a thicker and bigger version of the normal mars milkshake. How wrong could i be. i took one sip and thought I had just taken a sip of acrylic paint. I shall not be buying this again thats for sure :(
