Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Cadbury Fingers White Xmas Confirmed sighting: Cadbury Fingers White Xmas
Posted: 21:24 Mon 04-Dec-2006. Price: 1.03/ 150g. Location: Texco Express, Sheffield. Sub-flavours: "Season's Collection" of mint and orange. Nutritional unusualness: 30 calories per finger.
"Grace" reports: These are limited edition for Christmas. The white ones are delicious, they have a very thick layer of chocolate on them, definitely worth buying for a treat.

...I must admit that the chocolate didn't seem particularly thick on the ones I had, though I did enjoy the "low-budget After Eight" ambience of the Dark Chocolate Mint variety. In other brand-extension brouhaha, "Kieran Casey" paid 45p for some Cadbury's Dairy Milk Tasters in Musselburgh, Midlothian, reminiscing: They used to be around years ago, but not seen them for years. Now they seem to be back, and just as good as before, while the company have also launched Highlights Cookie Crunch (1.29 pack of 8, 70 calories per cookie), unashamed Oat and Chocolate chip HobNob-alikes (shown in the previous picture) and Dairy Milk Mint Chips Dessert (58p/ 100g, Sainsbury's), as well as overseeing the return of last Christmas's Mint Crisp Bites, of which more in a future sighting.

Comment: ah yeah, I wasn't sure about that - but these are in special Christmas packaging, plus the mint ones say "Season's Collection" on the box :)

Comment: "Oat and Chocolate chip HobNob-alikes" are - for all intents and purposes - exactly that, just thinner with 2 or 3 specks of chocolate for good measure. Still they're 3 for £2 along with all the cadbury's fingers biscuits in sainsburys at the moment, if you're a bit of a bloater.

Comment: Cadbury's Tasters have been on sale for at least several months at my local branch of Costcutter, along with other confectionery that may be rarely found in other shops such as Cadbury's Snack shortcake biscuits and Guylian chocolate bars, so they may not have vanished altogether after all.

Comment: Cadbury's Tasters have been out for years (although are hard to find) and Guylian bars aren't that rare - all Woolworths stores sell them.

Comment: The Cadbury's Oat & Chocolate Chip biscuits are 27p a packet in my local Sainsbury's. I doubt there are any left now, but if there are I intend to buy ten packets tomorrow. The chocolate adds an extra dimension to dunking, without the need to splash out on a really heavy weight biscuit such as the chocolate covered HobNob
