Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Mattessons Fridge Raiders Chinese Spare Rib flavour Confirmed sighting: Mattessons Fridge Raiders Chinese Spare Rib flavour
Posted: 16:24 Tue 15-May-2007. Price: 98p. Location: Asda, Sheffield. Nutritional unusualness: 125 calories, 6.3g of fat per bag.
"Grace" reports: Finally a new flavour to the Fridge Raiders range. I know these are a bit hit and miss in terms of people liking them and the chicken certainly is questionable. But despite this I do rather like the range. This new flavour is very tasty and I'm sure will soon be seen in all places that stock these. It has a spicy, sweet type flavour, the chicken is juicy without being greasy. So all in all a tasty snack, although not for those who like to look too closely to the ingredients list.

...Great sighting "Grace" - I guess these will co-exist with the "Roast" and "Tikka" varieties, though both are currently being sold off at 49p/ bag in my local Sainsbury's if you're running low on supplies. In other carnivorous new arrivals: Broad Oak Farm are aiming for a "significant but not overpowering" effect in their Marmite or Bovril flavoured sausages; I too was pleasantly surprised by the "mature cheddar cheese, Batavia lettuce, sliced tomato, grilled onions, tomato relish and garlic mayo, all on a lightly toasted ciabatta roll" of McDonald's Limited Edition Deluxe; and once again the Web Fries are the best bit of Burger King's Spider-Man-inspired Dark Whopper meal, which inexplicably seems to come with both a standard drink and a bottle of Coke Zero?

Comment: These have been sold out in Asda everytime I have been in there since my first spot so they must be really popular. I still have yet to see them anywhere else as well!
