Click pic to view comments - International sighting: Diet Pepsi Jazz/ Coke Vanilla Zero International sighting: Diet Pepsi Jazz/ Coke Vanilla Zero
Posted: 20:32 Thu 17-May-2007. Price: (Pepsi Jazz) 1.10/ 355ml. Location: Cybercandy, Covent Garden. Sub-flavours: Black Cherry, French Vanilla, Caramel Cream, Strawberries and Cream. Nutritional unusualness: Barely a significant source of anything.
Snackspot reports: The US import previously described by "Chubworth" as "interesting" - I've only tried the Strawberries and Cream one so far, but it tastes just like a mix of artificially-sweetened Fanta Strawberry and Vanilla Coke. Speaking of which, "Vanilla Coke has made its long-awaited comeback to the US!", rejoices "Tom Lythe", after paying $2.50/ 12pk in McKinney, Texas. What's more, he "can happily say that the formula has not changed and that there isn't a diet coke version. Just a Vanilla Zero edition which is better than the diet was!"

...In other strawberries-and-cream combos: I haven't tried the banana flavour, but I'm disappointed there's hardly any mention of the definitely-noticeable sweeteners on the packaging of Masterfoods Starburst Thick Shake (and it still contains almost as much sugar as the Mars one); while the imminent prospect of Orange Coke will be facing up against not only Citrus Tango, but also - for over-18s - four fruit-flavoured variants of Cobra Beer (in sweet lime, blood orange, apple, or lemongrass, apparently).

Comment: I tried Pepsi Jazz whilst in New York last year and absolutely loved it. I've been hoping that Pepsi would choose to release it in the UK, and when I saw the picture at the top of the page I thought it had finally happened. Just hope I can find more Pepsi Jazz whilst back over in the USA next month.

Comment: Gaaah! Why, Cobra, why? Solid, classy and reliable, please don't go all la-la new flavours on me. You are only cheapening your brand.

On the other hand Pepsi are miles down that road already so black cherry sounds pretty good to me.

Comment: Cola and almond....sounds a bit like the squash you can get in Malta called...oh I forget what it's called,Orzata I think... but it is an almond squash and it is great in Malta when it's made with ice cold water when the weather is boiling hot and dry but if you make the mistake of bringing in back to England and drinking it with lukewarm tap water on a cold day it suddenly turns into the Devil's Perspiration in a glass.

Comment: Late Jan/Feb this year I was visiting Canada (Toronto) and they were selling the strawberries and cream Pepsi. This is great - I wish they would bring it out over here!

Oh and the Black cherry varients on Pepsi / Coke - Much better than the UK cherry flavours!

Comment: I've just bought some orange Coca-Cola, but can't submit it as I've taken the label off to enter the itunes competition (and I did win a song, so yay). Anyway it tastes like Tango, with only the mildest Coke aftertaste. Not particularly appealing.

Comment: It sad that the UK does not sell Pepsi Jazz and Wild Cherry I had some on Holiday in Dublin,And it was very good it did not have much of a Pepsi taste,It was more like a sweeter Coca Cola Vanilla with a strong Strawberry taste.I think the UK need's too get this Drink it's way better than Pepsi Max and Coca Cola with Orange. Also try Pepsi Jazz Cherry and French Vanilla it's more classy and try out Mountain Dew Code Red and Diet Cola with Vanilla and Wild berry.
