Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Toblerone Fruit and Nut Confirmed sighting: Toblerone Fruit and Nut
Posted: 22:20 Tue 05-Jun-2007. Price: 54p (promotion - usually 1.49). Location: Woolworths, Edgware Road. Nutritional unusualness: Honey and almond nougat (10%).
"Commander Zorg" reports: The nut is almond and the fruit is raisins. The chocolate is still Toblerone, coming with the same chewy lumps of nougat as before. There's a lot of chewing involved, although it's made easier thanks to Woolworths having broken air con today which reduced the chocolate to a fudge-like consistency. Very nice, although the almond is barely noticeable - presumably as it's been combined with the nougat. It's Toblerone with raisins, basically, so you don't have to worry about a whole almond ruining your mouthful. Woolworths is doing an introductory offer on these, where you get one for 54p instead of the usual 1.49. Couple this with the amazing 300g Yorkie for 50p offer and it's definitely chocolate for dinner. And maybe some toast later for much-needed carbs.

...Another update from the internet's answer to Swiss Toni - though, on the basis of the near-liquid countlines they were selling last summer, I'm yet to be convinced that London Woolworths have any air-conditioning at all. Still, if you like the idea of cut-price fruit-containing choc, I'd also like to recommend Waitrose's own-brand Belgian Chocolate and Forest Fruit Muffins (1.69 for 2 - here reduced to 1.19), complete with Black Forest Gateau-ish "softest forest fruit centre".

Comment: Technically chocolate's a vegetable - and i'm going to count almonds too, so i make that 3 out of 5.
