Click pic to view comments - International sighting: Masterfoods Dark Chocolate Peanut M and Ms International sighting: Masterfoods Dark Chocolate Peanut M and Ms
Posted: 20:35 Tue 16-Oct-2007. Price: $0.75. Location: NYC, USA. Nutritional unusualness: 4.5g fat, 4g protein, 2g fibre, 220 calories per bag.
"Mike Savage" reports: I saw these whilst on holiday in NYC and didn't eat them till I returned back to Blighty. To be honest these didn't rock my world but they aren't as offensive as the Razzberry variety. At first you can't really tell the difference between these and the regular Milk Chocolate M and Ms. However you are hit with a slight bitter aftertaste on swallowing, the nut seems harder too but this could be my mind playing games on me. In short I wouldn't choose these over any other variety of M and M (omitting the aforementioned Razzberry) and could see a situation where I'd like to have a pack of these as a treat!

...In other dark discoveries: "This is the dog's danglies! Lovely Lindt dark chocolate with a chocolate truffle and caramel filling. Really rich and dark tasting chocolate. I will buy this again even at this price," declared "Zeddy" regarding the Lindt Creation 70% Caramel bar he found for 2 in a Lanark garden centre, Scotland, elsewhere contenting himself with these Turkish Chocodan's and Criss Cross (both 17p from a discount sweet shop, Lanarkshire, Scotland). To "Zeddy's" seasoned eye, Chocodan's resemble "Turkish made Toffifees (toffee with a hazelnut and choc topped). 3 in a pack enclosed in a plastic tray. I haven't eaten Toffifees for a while but I think these could actually be nicer. Made by Solen," - as are Criss Cross, which are more like "Mint flavoured Milky Way crispy rolls this time. If you like mint then these are a nice addition to choc covered wafer theme."

Comment: I saw these whilst holidaying in Florida and actually quite liked them though they are nowhere near as good as peanut butter M&Ms!!! Why oh why, can't we get them in UK?

Comment: They have these in my local 99p shop. Not as good as the Milk ones but well worth the money for over 400g in a bag
