Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Nestle Milkybar Shakers/ Princess Little Delight Chocolate Creams Confirmed sighting: Nestle Milkybar Shakers/ Princess Little Delight Chocolate Creams
Posted: 20:39 Thu 24-Jan-2008. Price: 39p/ 2 for 1. Location: Tesco, Silverburn, Glasgow/ Sweet discount shop. Sub-flavours: (Little Delights) Peppermint, Fruit or Crumbly Vanilla Fudge (no chocolate). Nutritional unusualness: (Milkybar Shakers) "All natural ingredients" Oh yeah? The wrapper is PLASTIC.
Another "Zeddy" double-helping today, with the Milkybar Shakers heralding the fact that: "Easter is here at last! This is essentially a Creme Egg-sized product of milky bar chocolate with white chocolate coated crispies inside it that rattle around. Nice if you like white chocolate. Not if you don't. (Look, I don't get paid for this.)" Or, if you'd prefer something a bit less Easter-y at this stage, "Zeddy" also detected these Princess Little Delight Chocolate Creams which are "Made by the marshmallow people. Anyhoo, the peppermint ones are wrapped in plain chocolate and very nice too. The fruit ones have 3 flavours - tangerine, lemon or strawberry. Fruit-filled chocs are getting to be a scarcity so good to see someone keeping up the side."

...Personally, I think I preferred the Smarties Shakers version - just as this appetising-looking egg spinoff of Black Magic Truffles is slightly more interesting than the one based on Nestle Heaven Truffle bars (both 55p at Tesco, or 2 for 1). Apparently we're heading for one of the earliest Easters in living memory (which partly excuses this display that I saw on December 12th in the Woolworths on Edgware Road) - but, once that's out the way, we'll be able to get back to covering proper chocolate and biscuits like the McVitie's Yumbles range, the same company's Yogjacks, and Lemon Cheesecake or Strawberry Shortcake Slices, plus - also from McVitie's - the Penguin Triple Chocolate Wafer bar.
