Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Pringles Prawn Cocktail flavour Confirmed sighting: Pringles Prawn Cocktail flavour
Posted: 21:37 Thu 28-Feb-2008. Price: 74p/ 170g tube. Location: ASDA, Stockport. Nutritional unusualness: Doesn't appear to contain prawns - like prawn cocktail crisps (presumably).
Apparently Pringles Rice Infusions are also available in Red Paprika, or Thai Chilli and Lime nowadays, but I didn't find these as seafoody as "robert" seemed to, as he reports: They are half price now at 74p a tube, they are a bright pink tube and they taste a lot like Walkers Prawn Cocktail crisps.

...Sadly, there's nothing quite so adventurous planned for the launch line-up of Go Ahead! Baked Snaps (made with the "100% natural flavours" of Salt and Vinegar, Cheese and Onion, or Barbecue) - still, as if in answer to "charl's" recent enquiry, these Wasabi Mixed Beans (59p/ 25g, a Cricklewood convenience store) are almost as "White Hot" as the packaging implies, even if I ultimately preferred the Red Hot Chilli Broad Beans produced by the same enigmatic Kix Snax company.

I'll also take this opportunity to say I've found Burger King's Chorizo Angus (meal around 5.49, featuring Spicy Spanish Chorizo sausage and Smokey Steakhouse Sauce) a bit more original than McDonald's swift revival of last summer's Beef Deluxe (and have they also brought back summer 2006's Chicken Deluxe with bacon?) - though I haven't yet tried the new Melted BLT Toasted Twister (around 2.89?) from KFC.

Comment: These taste ok. I wish they did pickled onion flavour, though.

Comment: Am I alone in finding all Pringles quite unpleasant? They just have a horrid texture, and most of the flavours are horribly bland too.

Comment: I got accused of 'losing the plot'and lying by my boyfriend after I told him I had spotted these when I was on my own but I was in a rush and did'nt have time to buy them, I am glad I'm not the only one who has seen the mighty pink tube! :)

Comment: For those who like it spicy, the wasabi soya beans from Kix are now on sale in my local tesco express store. Something different? Yes! I would recomend them. I can't wait to try the other flavours.

Comment: I actually don't like Pringles.. I love me some 'fake potato' crisps but these make me feel a bit ill. It's a shame because I love the flavours, esp these new Prawn guys. I'd love to see some strong pickled onion ones... mmm. But basically I stick to Discos or Squares for my 'fake potato' fix!
