Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Walkers Farmer's Choice Multipack Confirmed sighting: Walkers Farmer's Choice Multipack
Posted: 17:34 Tue 18-Mar-2008. Price: 1.49 for a 6-bag multipack, or on offer at 1.75 for 2 x 6-bag multipack. Location: Co-op, Plymouth. Nutritional unusualness: Each 25g pack contains 131 calories (7% of your daily amount), 8.3g fat (12% of your daily amount).
"Magnetic Ham Sandwich" reports: It's time for some new limited edition flavours from Walkers again. This time it's a "Farmer's Choice" 6-bag multipack - apparently to celebrate those home-grown heroes, British farmers, and their British potatoes as used by Walkers to make their crisps. The multipack wrapper has a nice rural scene of a tractor ploughing a field at the bottom with a big golden Walkers logo representing the sun at the top, and also the signpost logo of the new Brit Trips promotion Walkers are running on all their crisp packets right now (you even get double points if you buy this multipack).

Inside you get 2 bags each of Ploughman's flavour (which is just your standard Cheese and Pickle flavour Walkers have done many times previously over the last few years), Roast Gammon flavour (which tastes a bit like pork but with a hint of apple), and Sweet Cumberland Sausage flavour, which has a mild spicy mustardy taste, quite similar to the Gammon flavour funnily enough. None of these three new flavours are anything special to be honest, perhaps next time Walkers could bring out something original like Dinosaur flavour or something.

...Thanks "MHS" - maybe it's me, but I can't read flavours like Sweet Cumberland Sausage without being reminded of The Onion's Sweet Potato Pie. And speaking of pickles, "Zeddy" says he located these Nik Naks Pickle N Onion for 40p in a general store, East Kilbride, exclaiming: "Bloody hell! My favourite flavour crisps in an old favourite. They are very very tasty. Don't know why they haven't been made before now. Trouble is, pickled onion generally gets a bad press as it tends to be associated with cheap crisps such as Space Raiders. I emailed Pringles once to get this flavour on their portfolio. No reply. Pah!"

Comment: On reflection, I think I'd have liked to have seen Shepherd's Pie flavour crisps in this multipack instead of the Ploughman's.

Comment: I ate them all and with the leftovers, I mashed them together and poured it all over the Eiffel Tower. They're still cleaning it up now!
