Click pic to view comments - Confirmed sighting: Marks and Spencer Phizzy Pig Tails/ Nestle Kit Kat Chunky Caramel Confirmed sighting: Marks and Spencer Phizzy Pig Tails/ Nestle Kit Kat Chunky Caramel
Posted: 21:39 Thu 27-Aug-2009. Price: 1.29/ 3 for 1. Location: Brighton/ Sainsbury's, St Andrews Square, Edinburgh. Sub-flavours: Percy Pigs Soft Fruit Gums; Percy Piglets Soft Gums Made With Fruit Juice; Penny Pigs (lemon flavour). Nutritional unusualness: Third ingredient of Phizzy Pig Tails is "Pork gelatine".
A quick double-helping today, as "Iain" alliterates: "New to the Percy Pig range, 'Phizzy Pig Tails'. Not as tart as the previous fizzy pig range. It's still not as unique as the rest of the Percy Pig range, but worth trying." Meanwhile, "Phill and Sharon's" odyssey continues with this Kit Kat Chunky Caramel, also found while "in Sainsbury's looking for something for dinner. We did find them 2 days ago in Somerfield in Broxburn, but they didn't last long enough to get a picture taken."

...In other summery chews: confusingly, there's almost an whole full-size Kit Kat finger running Flake-style down the middle of this Nestle Kit Kat Cone (around 1.20, convenience store in Kentish Town); I hope you appreciate the 'natural habitat' I've created for this pic of Starburst Smoothies (45p, Costcutter); and, following the inroads made by their numerous Trident launches, you may already have seen the TV ads for Cadbury-Trebor-Bassett's latest assault on Wrigley's heartland, Trebor Extra Strong Gum.

Comment: What a delightful rural setting for the Starburst pack... and yet, somehow so very sad.

Comment: does anyone else reckon that nestle have used the same filling as the peanut butter one with just added caramel flavour they are so similar...i wonder if they are just trying to appeal to uk market?

Comment: The Caramel in the Kit Kat's has the same consistency as the Peanut Butter, it leaves the same dry feeling in my mouth after eating. Still I like them, and now that I'm back at work I can take advantage of the 3 for £1 offer easier. Just one sighting left to go and my week-off trinity of snack sightings is done.

Comment: Bring back the old "liquid" caramel Kit Kat Chunky. It was so sweet that it hurt my teeth!

Comment: This isn't caramel, it's just tooth-bendingly sweet fudge with a burnt taste. The consistency is exactly the same as the preceding Peanut Butter Chunky, but just not as nice. I've not been so disappointed since the last time I was disappointed.

Comment: yeah cheers for all the sightings "Phill" - I would have given the Kit Kat Chunky top billing on this one, except I wanted to get in all the different Percy Pig varieties..!

Comment: Phizzy Pig tails are so good, in a sour chemical kind of way, that I think I would do anything for another packet. Possibly even prostitution.

Comment: I phoned a prostitute once, and asked how much it would be for total humiliation. She said "£35". I thought that was jolly reasonable so I asked what it included. She said I'd get "an England shirt with 'Rooney' on the back". Badoom-tish!
